Federalism
California
is a sovereign state, the most populous in the Union with the
seventh-largest economy in the world. As specified in our Constitution,
the federal government should have a limited role in most areas such as
education, healthcare, economic and environmental regulations. The
federal government should respect the rights of California residents to
determine these issues for themselves. Attempts by agencies of the
federal government to overrule state laws or usurp the right of
Californians to govern their own internal affairs, should be struck
down by the federal courts.
